No, it wasn't lawyer Mathew Rosenkratz who liberated her from her conservatorship. When she orginally came up with the "Rose Project" idea in 2019, she did not know the man yet ... nor did she in 2020. It is silly to think that she was anticipating the name of a man she had yet to meet!! The FreeBritney Movement had not even taken off yet. Fans were still guessing whether Britney was alright or not alright based on a series of coded messages they had jointly made up, including a color scheme.
Plus she continued to use the rose image long after being freed from conservatorship, including posing in pink before a portrait of England's Rose, Princess Diana, who she identifies with, surrounding the images with rose emojis. Nor is it about her recently published book, The Woman In Me. I doubt she had the book on her radar yet back in 2020, she was still unsure back then if she would ever escape the conservatorship. But the rose imprint on the inside cover is a powerful statement, nonetheless. It is something more personal and private, and by that I mean in the same sense that Diane de Poitiers took on the symbol of the crescent moon as her device when she was the mistress of Henri II of Valois. De Poiters died in 1566. This kind of practice is VERY OLD and often was only done by royalty. |
Britney Spears is the only LIVING woman of great fame to associate herself with the Rose in the last 458 years (454 years if you start counting back from 2020). The question now is ... will the association continue?
The Rose is something she can and never should be parted from: it is her destiny and more than once it may even save her life!
