Pope Francis will visit Athens, Greece
in September 2021

Hi My name is Mike and I am Greek. I read your article ''Pope Francis and the Rose Prophecy.'' I have to say your article is great, congratulations on your research. I have news for you. Pope Francis will visit Greece in September 2021 it's official, read the following Greek sites it's official: https://www.in.gr/2021/06/30/english-edition/pope-francis-visit-greece-september/ https://www.tovima.gr/2021/06/30/international/pope-francis-accepts-sakellaropoulous-invitation-to-visit-greece/ https://en.protothema.gr/pope-francis-to-visit-greece-in-september/ Now, in my opinion maybe Athens is the city of the prophecy watered by two rivers Kifisos and Ilisos according to the Nostradamus Quatrain 5.31 ~Through the land of Attica, leader of wisdom, which at present is the ROSE of the world and the ''ROSE will FLOURISH'' after ''Lockdown''. In my opinion secret services will kill the Pope: MI6, CIA etc. but they will accuse for this '' ISIS - Jihadist Islam''. look ISIS is post below Please, if you want refresh your article with the new information and email me back your opinion! Thank you and best regards, Mike. |

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the heads up on the coming papal visit.
Yes, both Athens and Paris are much more dangerous because the "two rivers" condition of the prophecy is so visually apparent. And I too have noted the the Kifisos and Ilisos that flow throughout the city of Athens.
Quatrain 5.31 and Quatrain 5.96 both mention "the rose of the world" and "the rose above the middle of the great world." Quatrain 5.31 confirms it is Athens and the surrounding Attic peninsula.
I believe Nostradamus foresaw the major role Greece would play in the future world war when one of the major adversaries, Persia (Iran), would be repelled from expanding into Europe and conquered by a leader from Greece, or else a leader from the region of Greece, Macedonia, and western Turkey (what the prophet Daniel called "Grecia"). Doubtlessly he will have the backing of the EU. The "king of Grecia" and "the first king" may also be two different personalities: one a Greek EU leader who wars with Iran and the other the French "great Monarch" who follows. By this time Iran may be allied with and armed by China.
Anyway, the papacy being "a wreck amidst the waves" may be more than symbolic (as the pont[iff] is also the bridge). The pope is warned against APPROACHING a city watered by two rivers, and that could mean the attack that causes him and those with him to bleed from the mouth will be AT SEA. THe ultimate outcome would be the ship sinking. There has been a lot of warlike activity of late on the high seas, especially involving Israel and Iran.
So the Rose will flourish. Perhaps Greece will be in the news big time just before the Pope's visit. ISIS is building in Africa but also again in northern Iraq. It is not inconceivable they may get hold of ships via piracy and travel into Greek waters to greet the Pope.
It is a worthy warning. Thanks for bringing the pope's trip to my attention.
Kind regards,
Mike

Objections to "The Rose" Interpretation

Re: were you aware of this nostradamus quatrain?
Hi Mike,
Thank you for sending me all of this information. It was a thoughtful read and it gave me some useful insights that I hadn't had before.
I just quickly wanted to mention that I read your latest blog post about how the Pope's trip may be a safe one because of the rose portion of the quatrain. On top of the fact that I still have very bad vibes surrounding the trip, I wanted to remind you that you initially didn't know what the rose represented in the quatrains concerning the death of Princess Diana.
As much as I dislike having to do this, my assertion that Nostradamus used "the Rose" to represent Princess Diana will hold no water unless I discuss a quatrain that seems to indicate that her death would be linked to a conspiracy. Only after Diana's death did I understand this prediction, because it had been many years since I had heard her called "England's Rose" -- for so very long she had been "Di," "Lady Di," "Princess Di," or simply "Diana" to her adoring fans and admirers.
So perhaps it is possible that you may not be aware of what the rose signifies in this particular prophecy of Nostradamus. I have another theory that may have nothing to do with either the spring time or Diana or Meghan Markle or even Britney Spears. On top of the issues of terrorism and the COVID pandemic, the nation of Iraq has been on the brink of a student led uprising in the last few weeks. Anti government protests have led to the deaths of five students and hundreds of injuries. Protesters even attempted to storm a government building in the city of Nasiriyah, similar to what happened in DC on January 6th.
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/iraq-nasiriyah-protesters-killed-clashes-security-forces
Perhaps it is possible that the rose, in this particular instance, is not about a season or a person, but a symbol of a revolution that breaks out, or blooms, at the time of the Pope's visit. So far, there is no indication that the anti government protesters are using roses as their insignia. However, if we tie this back to the riots that spread across the United States last summer, there may be a group that is connected that could more accurately fit this description.
The farthest left of the political spectrum, or outright socialists, refer to themselves on Twitter as "Rose Twitter." One of their biggest advocates is a man named Ryan Knight, who has over 350,000 followers and has received the scorn and ire of members of the Biden White House. If someone, under the image of a rose, becomes the leader of the April-June insurgency you mentioned in another prediction, perhaps he or someone under the "Rose Twitter" umbrella" is the one to set off the insurgency.
https://twitter.com/proudsocialist
If this is the case, then it is the beginnings of worldwide uprisings, led by the "Rose Twitter" movement, that would be the real concern of Nostradamus, as it would lead to the toppling of many governments. If anything, the Pope may face no threat of COVID or a terrorist attack, but rather murder at the hands of an angry mob that storms his vehicle in either Baghdad or Irbil. The government is trying to get the protests to stop before the Pope's arrival, but if they spiral out of control, perhaps that's where the true danger lies.

"I still have very bad vibes surrounding the trip..."
So do I ... but I wanted to give the Pope and his millions of Catholic followers SOME HOPE if there is any. I always imagined such a trip would happen in a month like May or June, not early March. But you are aware if this trip goes off without a hitch, there will be more in the future. That would make the situation even more dangerous, because during future trips the pope and his enablers will let their guard down. Stated another way, Nostradamus doesn't necessarily say this is the Pope's first trip to this particular city (assuming it is Baghdad or Erbil). You are aware there are also quatrains about important cardinals taken hostage and held captive, one in Iran and another in Turkey. Perhaps these must happen first?
"I wanted to remind you that you initially didn't know what the rose represented in the quatrains concerning the death of Princess Diana."
I have known Diana is England's Rose, or simply The Rose, since I first uploaded my website to Geocities in May 1999. I knew it before that, in 1997. The earliest pages on the site dealt with Diana's death and the threat to then Pope John Paul II, how Nostradamus predicted it and other quatrains dealing with Diana as "Diana," "Artemis" (the Greek version of Diana), and "the Rose." The Pope Francis and The Rose Prophecy page was originally Pope John Paul II and the Rose Prophecy. Francis is taking the trip in 2021 that John Paul II was to take in 2000. The main Pope page has a section entirely devoted to The Rose and, as a metaphor, its primary meaning as being Diana.
"As much as I dislike having to do this, my assertion that Nostradamus used "the Rose" to represent Princess Diana will hold no water unless I discuss a quatrain that seems to indicate that her death would be linked to a conspiracy."
Are you referring to "The rose upon the middle of the world" quatrain? I agree, although I can not date it just yet. "Closed mouths" does not necessarily mean the masks we are wearing or the accompanying atmosphere of censorship, but it could. I think the spirit of Diana will rally many of us against the "masked and solitary ones" (or some other elite solitary ones) in the future. But not quite yet. I used to believe that the "solitary ones" were monks or nuns ... that was the prevailing interpretation of most Nostradamus scholars ... but it is clear since the ruling elite (as well as their subjects, currently us) now wear masks that the "masked and solitary ones" are linked to the radical leftist government. It may also mean that the solitary ones will be the government of the future ... with or without masks. Bear in mind that even if we return to normality and can cast aside or masks, it will only be temporary. We entered an age of plagues with SARS in 2002, and the occurrence of plagues, including Ebola, will increase in the future. We might remove our masks in 2021 only to replace them in 2024 and 2027 and on and on. And the ruling elite may begin to turn the masks into a symbol of their POWER over us whether we wear them or not.
Diana will call for their overthrow and for their extermination! She knows evil when she sees it.
"So perhaps it is possible that you may not be aware of what the rose signifies in this particular prophecy of Nostradamus."
I thought I was being clear. The Rose is more than a symbol, it is potentially a complex metaphor. Of course the literal meaning is the flower that blooms, but above that ... I believe ... is Princess Diana. My blog said I do not think it can be Diana AT THIS TIME. I have scoured the internet for evidence that she may soon be active in some way. The only connections I have found to Diana (the Rose) are the unveiling of her statue in July (which is too late to relate to Pope Francis's March 5-9 trip) and the media interest in comparing Meghan Markle to Diana, especially since she announced her pregnancy on Valentine's Day ... the same as Diana did in 1984 when she was pregnant with Harry.
"On top of the issues of terrorism and the COVID pandemic, the nation of Iraq has been on the brink of a student led uprising in the last few weeks. Anti government protests have led to the deaths of five students and hundreds of injuries. Protestors even attempted to storm a government building in the city of Nasiriyah, similar to what happened in DC on January 6th."
I am well aware of the violence in Iraq and have supplied embedded articles under the pope prediction on the 2019 page and the other one on the 2023 page. I have not discussed the civil disorder led by the students, but the Iranian and ISIS attacks/bombings in Baghdad and Erbil (and the latest attack yesterday) are reason enough to be concerned.
"If someone, under the image of a rose, becomes the leader of the April-June insurgency you mentioned in another prediction, perhaps he or someone under the "Rose Twitter" umbrella" is the one to set off the insurgency.
https://twitter.com/proudsocialist "
I checked that out. It demonstrates that there is some intelligent leadership in the ranks of the socialist leftist revolutionaries after all. Hell, some of their ideas are not even half bad. After all the UK is a socialist state AND Democratic, so what? There have been times during this country's history we have been nearly as socialist as those in Europe ... yet still Democratic.
Obviously I didn't read everything posted on there ... I'm sure there are some nutters posting too. There's nutters everywhere.
My concern is that a popular faction far more ruthless in its tactics will displace the original revolutionaries and bring about a reign of terror. That is what happened in France. The fathers of the French revolution were initially very intelligent and capable men getting their ideas from contemporary writers of philosophy and politics. But fear of losing their control led to factions splitting away from the original principles of the Republic and enforcing a police state under Maximillion Robespierre. The revolutionaries became paranoid of losing their positions and ultimately losing their lives. Initially the king was still in charge as a constitutional monarch, but in the end he was considered as part of the problem. He caught on and tried to escape with his wife, was captured, and both were later guillotined. In the end, nearly anyone on the street could be an enemy of the Republic. The government imploded after a Reign of Terror, the overthrow and execution of Robespierre, and another brief era of terror that followed ("the White Terror"). The Republic that followed was weak and Napoleon took over France with little objection, turning it into a dictatorship ... the very thing the revolutionaries were fighting against to begin with.
Does anyone really doubt it couldn't all happen again? We are watching the genesis of something like it unless the current situation is stabilized somehow.
When this rose-themed Twitter leftist group becomes more public, by that I mean mainstream media, TV, news services, what not ... and we have a "Rose Revolution" that looks more like the revolutions we have seen in places like Ukraine ... then I would consider that as being something that could be linked to the Nostradamus' quatrain concerning a pope traveling to a city watered by two rivers.
But not at this time. This revolution, a popular revolution linked to the "Rose" emblem, is located in cyberspace. Nostradamus may or may not have known about computers and maybe even the internet, but only in the most basic sense. He would have expressed these concepts in a way similar to some of the prophecies of a box which brings news and pictures and through which people can communicate ... such prophecies were made by Catholic prophets and also by Mother Shipton, but not by Nostradamus. I think Nostradamus even saw the advent of AI and transhumanism, but oddly mentions next to nothing about the computer or internet.
Thus I seriously doubt the Rose he wrote about in Quatrain 2,97 is this Twitter one. But if the quatrain concerns a future papal visit to Iraq and not this one, it may be about the "Rose Revolution" this Twitter group brings about that eventually materializes for all to see.

Were You Aware of This Nostradamus Quatrain?
Tuesday February 16 2021
Hi Mike,
Just thought I'd add that I read on another Nostradamus page that this quatrain 26, in Century 6, may indicate that this trip to Iraq in March is destined to occur and the Pope is going there fully knowing the risks to his life. I have attached the original French and two translations of the line in question. It seems to suggest that when the Pope is assassinated, he is replaced by "the young red black one," which may mean that the next pope comes, not from France, but from Africa. Red would be his prior rank (cardinal) and black would be his skin color. The youngest cardinal in the church right now is Dieudonné Nzapalainga (he is just 53). He is from the Central African Republic (a country that Francis has previously visited). He may be the "young red black one" that Nostradamus refers to in this prediction. Just something to reference in your blog in case there is a new papal election in the near future. Hope this helps.

Thanks Liam!
I note that Nostradamus says this "young red black one" will "seize" the Papacy ... and he will be among those "traitors" who "act on a day of drizzle."
This may be the Antipope I project will come to power in April 2024 and reign until the end of the year. Originally I was going to have one of the other prominent black cardinals pictured as a possible contender, but chose to keep it a mystery (because technically it is until it happens) and used images of Jude Law from "The Young Pope." Yes, this other black cardinal could be the one.
Before the Antipope comes to power, there will have to be a "good pope" (that is Vatican slang for a short-lived pope) who reigns for seven months and whose death coincides with a major schism. He'd have to come to power in August 2023 if the Antipope comes to power in April 2024. I haven't posted this "good pope" yet.
That pretty much means Pope Francis may be dead by July or August 2023 if not before. Right now it looks like he may be gone next month.
I also do not know what Benedict's status will be if Francis dies suddenly and unexpectedly ... this year, next year, or in 2023, if Benedict remains alive, that is. Will he stay on as a retired pontiff emeritus, or will he resume his office as Pope? Can he? The old and frail Benedict, in constant pain, is perfect for the role of the other assassinated pope, the Bishop Dressed in White (Third Secret of Fatima), killed by "soldiers" as he painfully climbs a holy mountain with his entourage of bishops, priests, and nuns overlooking a city half-destroyed and littered with corpses.
In any event, the "young, red black one" sounds very much like the Antipope to come since he seizes power. That is illegal as are the traitors in the final line.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Interesting interpretation. I also wanted to mention the Malachy predictions as well. You have said that Francis is actually 103: Burning fire. Maybe that has to do with being killed by rockets, similar to the bombing at the Irbil airport this week. Terrorist groups seem determined to disrupt the Papal visit and yet the Pope, nor his advisors, have seen fit to postpone the trip.
What follows 103 is 104, Religion Destroyed. That would fit into Nostradamus' prediction of the the Young Red Black One coming into power in March during a time of a schism. Or, it could be, as you mention below, that Benedict reasserts himself as Pope from retirement and this is not accepted by a large section of the church. This would then be resolved in a holy civil war with the elevation of the Black pope as the end result.

The Library of Congress saved your previous iterations of the Rose Prophecy warnings. I mention this because of this prediction you shared from Merlin on a previous occasion:
Merlin (6th century) ~
There will come a German Anti-Pope. Italy and Germany will be sorely troubled. A French King will restore the true Pope ...
So this would fit more into the view that Benedict is the actual anti-pope and that the French pope would be restored as the true one later.
Something I think is not very well understood about French society is that they don't have the same view of racial politics that we do in the United States. French society largely promotes assimilation and the idea that being French is a national identity that can be earned through cultural immersion, regardless of race. Seeing as Dieudonné Nzapalainga has a French first name, is from a former French colony and speaks French fluently, it is possible that he is or will become adopted by the French as a true French men. In the eyes of Nostradamus, if the French consider him to be French, then what would be his place to challenge this? Hence, it is possible that the Black Pope is not the anti-Pope, as you suspect, but the true Pope who will be restored later on after an intense struggle for power. Dieudonné is considered a saint to many in the Church. I think he fits the qualifier as the good Pope better than Benedict ever could.

Some things to think about as the Papal visit to Iraq approaches, especially in the light of the fact that a Black woman would be replacing Biden as President if his assassination follows Francis' later this year.

Hi Liam!
I had to recheck my Pope Francis and the Rose page to make sure the mottoes we are discussing are worded right. Yes, that is "Ignis ardens" or "Burning fire" for Pope Francis. Benedict XVI announced his resignation on February 11, 2013, but it did not go into effect until February 28. Francis was elected on March 13.
Lightning struck St Peter's Basilica TWICE on the day of Benedict's resignation.
I envision one bolt for Benedict and the other bolt for his successor, Francis. Thus, their destinies may be linked in some way, possibly by manner of death, or it may represent the friction between the two popes that has almost resulted in a schism more than once. It also would be the final event of Lumen in cælo, Benedict, whose reign was also marked by the "great comet" McNaught (largely seen in the southern hemisphere) and the major comet Holmes (northern hemisphere), both in 2007.
The Chelyabinsk meteor entered the earth's atmosphere over Russia on February 15. Technically Benedict's reign was still in progress, but only technically. In reality the Vatican was leaderless ... Benedict's reign was in limbo, and all thought was on electing the next pope.
Chelyabinsk could have been the last manifestation of Benedict's motto ... or it could have been the prefiguring of Francis's motto, "Burning fire." Due to its great magnitude and rarity, I tend to think of it as a presaging of Francis's reign.
Fireball sightings and asteroid air bursts INCREASED after Francis was elected in 2013, especially since 2018. There have been TWO very major events, almost like Chelyabinsk, one in 2018 and the other in 2020. The fireball seen in China in December of 2020 was one of the two and it made Wikipedia's "List of meteor air bursts" on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_meteor_air_bursts
This is the list of the most powerful airbursts detected since 1908: one for each of the following years: 1908 (Tunguska Event), 1919, 1927, 1930, 1932, 1941, 1947, 1948, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1976, 1984, 1993; then two for 1994 and two for 1997, one each for 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001; then two for 2002, two for 2003, two for 2004, one for 2005, two for 2006, two for 2008; then three for 2009, three for 2010, one for 2011; then five for 2013, the year Francis was elected (including the Chelyabinsk event), three for 2014, four for 2015, one each for 2016 and 2017, then three for 2018 (including the Kamchatka superbolide asteroid ... the largest airburst since Chelyabinsk), two for 2019, and one for 2020 (December 22): Qinghai province, China. This most recent one was the largest known impact since 2018 (and second largest since Chelyabinsk) and was widely seen (while the 2018 event happened over the Bering Strait and was not seen by anyone but was instead detected). It fulfilled my prediction for another Chelyabinsk happening in 2020, although it happened at the end of the year when we were all anticipating it would be at or near the beginning.
Either it is too soon for the Qinghai meteorite or superbolide to appear on Wikipedia on its own page (the Kamchatka superbolide has a separate Wikipedia page even though no one saw it) or someone very high up at Google or Wikipedia itself would like to rob me of a successful prediction. I'd like nothing better than for it to have its own Wikipedia page I can point to from my website's prediction.
I know I am being a bit off topic but nothing irritates me more than people writing about some of my failed predictions that were not failed at all ... but were instead under-reported or not reported until some years AFTER the event. I am sure this has happened to you as well, and it infuriates me how much we are at the mercy of the news media which often obfuscates events when they happen or is very late at acknowledging them (and sometimes never does). Even worse, we live in a time when the news media actually presents lies or marginalizes the importance of events it chooses to report.
Anyway, I do feel that the notable increase in airbursts and fireball sightings, starting in 2013, plus two more Chelyabinsks in 2018 and 2020, are the reason Pope Francis deserves the motto "Burning fire." When I see "Ignis ardens" or "Burning fire" my brain reacts as though the motto was "Fire from the sky." I suppose if Malachy had chosen to be more specific, he may have used the term. However, the Church is aware that the future false prophet will bring down "fire from the sky" as prophesied in Revelation, so perhaps this was the reason for Malachy not to use the term "Fire from the sky" but instead "Burning fire." I suppose it could also mean a pope with a burning or ardent faith. I believe Pope Francis has this too ... it is his faith that takes him in harm's way next month. Faith strong enough to go to a place of danger to bring hope to the Christians of Iraq.
And who knows? He may survive the trip and pave the way for future visits to Iraq. Thus, if Iraq is not dangerous to a pope at this time, over the next few years it may become very dangerous. Like the space shuttle missions. Every launch over a period of years emboldened NASA and the teams of astronauts. Then, one day in January 1986 ... on just another routine mission ... the launch rocket exploded in midair and the shuttle team on board died a fiery death before millions of horrified spectators.
As for "Religio depopulata" I think a holocaust of unprecedented proportions will cause something much worse even than the genocides of Hitler or Stalin. Note the word is "depopulated" and not "destroyed." The war that most Catholic prophets believe will become World War 3 will, they predict, cause 3/4 of the world population to die, most during the dreaded "three days of darkness."
Sounds like we are in a world of hurt after Francis, doesn't it?
But bear in mind ... the Young Red Black One will be an antipope! No legitimate pope would "seize" the papacy nor be linked to a bunch of traitorous, plotting cardinals.
Remember how I came to redo the papal mottoes in the first place, regressing Francis as Pope 103. I do not believe that Malachy ever intended ANY of the mottoes to be applied to antipopes. There were nine of them after his death ... and the Vatican applied the mottoes to every man jack of the nine. And they shouldn't have!
If Dieudonné Nzapalainga ... or anyone else ... succeeds Francis and turns out to be an antipope, the count and mottoes stop with Francis until a legitimate pope is elected.
The same goes for Benedict XVI, pontiff emeritus. If Francis dies and Benedict is legitimately restored to hold the rank he resigned from, if that is at all possible, he is still Pope 102. He would be Pope 102 continued ... or Pope 102 (Part 2) if you like ... with Pope 103 deceased. As old as Benedict is, that could be another 5 years or more. He could be the first centenarian pope. Pope Leo XIII ACTIVELY served as pope until age 93 ... without a break! Benedict is 93 and has had an eight year rest (he "retired" at age 85). He will be 94 in September. It IS an advanced age, but people overall live longer now (forget how the US government is using COVID-19 fatalities to bring down the life expectancy by one or two years). There never was a Hollywood actor who lived to be 100 until Kirk Douglas did, dying at age 103 a few years ago. Clint Eastwood is 90 and directed Richard Jewell in 2019 and on on December 16, 2020, Eastwood concluded production of a new movie, Cry Macho, which he also starred in.
Old is not as old as old used to be. So if I say Benedict could continue on another five years, even as Pope 102 (Part Two) again, it is not impossible.
But I don't think the Vatican has any rules in place for restoring a retired pope. For that reason, he could end up being the German Anti-Pope if restored. If he is also the future "Bishop Dressed in White" who is assassinated by soldiers climbing (in a great deal of pain) a holy mountain near a half-destroyed city, along with all the lay people who travel there with him, clerical workers, bishops, priests, cardinals, nuns, it may explain why he is not called the "Pope" or "Pontiff" in the Third Secret of Fatima. If he is an antipope, and mind you some antipopes from the past were later made saints (antipopes can be good men), that might explain him being called "Bishop" instead. All antipopes are actually bishops since they are no longer cardinals.
In any event, especially if the Church becomes schismatic, there is no knowing how many antipopes may follow Francis. The "good pope" I mention who reigns seven months in 2023 to 2024 before the Sabine antipope in April 2024 ... he may be an antipope himself! Quatrain 8.93 can also begin "for seven months he will fail to obtain the prelature." It can be read two ways, he may obtain the papacy for only seven months and die OR he will try to obtain legitimacy as pope for seven months and die failing, causing a schism. Then the quatrain continues, for seven months another "acts as pastor" until peace and union are reborn near Venice. Thus, Quatrain 8.93 may actually be about TWO antipopes who reign for approximately 7 months each over a space of 14 months. Thus, if Francis survives this year and dies or retires in 2023, he may be followed by not one but two antipopes in succession.
We might see four or even five antipopes in the 2020's and 2030's ... none of them bearing Malachy mottos. When "Religio depopulata" ... Pope 104 ... comes to power ... possibly not until the beginning of 2025 ... that pope may reign a little less than 13 years, the motto of depopulation undergoing gradual fulfillment as World War 3 evolves from preliminary conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa, East Asia and elsewhere. There may be a war between Russia and China that lasts 13 years. Keep in mind that the "depopulation" will be a process and not a single day event. It may not even be completed until after his death and during the reign of the next pope, "Fides intrepida" (Intrepid Faith) ... Pope 105.
This fearless pontiff dies facing his enemies in southern France when millions of French are slaughtered by Muslim armies between Marseilles and Lyon. Either "Religio depopulata" or "Fides intrepida" will be the pope that flees the Vatican and travels to Avignon in 2037 when a supernova is blazing in the sky. There are some prophecies that say a pope will be elected in another country after the pope that flees Rome dies, when the Vatican is moved. Avignon makes the most sense as this is where the 13th Century Papal residences still are waiting to be reopened. "Fides intrepida" (Intrepid Faith) is the second World War 3 pope because it is pope 106, "Pastor angelicus" (Angelic Shepherd), the final World War 3 pope, who becomes the great French pontiff.
"Fides intrepida" apparently is killed nine miles (or three leagues) from Avignon when a "monster" (invading army) is pouring out of the conquered commune of Tarascon-sur-Rhône and murdering civilians. He will be roughly equidistant from both locations.
After his death there will be no pope for 25 months ... unless that is when the German antipope comes to power (and thus will not be Benedict obviously, not in the late 2030s).
The French pope will be elected in exile, possibly in Tunisia. The great French monarch to come and the French pontiff will seek one another out. A short time later, they will preside over the end of the war and establish a new Church and a new world peace. This is basic Catholic prophecy. But as I said, Malachy would make this pope number 106. The future of the papacy continues on for a few more centuries, under six more popes, an unknown number of angelic pastors (who will work together as a group and none will be a pope), and an unknown number of antipopes. There will also be a period when the Church just dries up and dies for the better part of a century, then is restored by a monarch eager to see Catholicism and Christendom return. This will mark the reigns of the last two popes.
What you say about Dieudonné could be true, if World War 3 (and I mean the worst aspects of it, including a Russian invasion of Europe and nuclear war) were at hand or only a few years away. But I hold that will not happen until late in the 2030's ... and all the fires and embers of conflict will not end immediately, even after the "three days of darkness." Some prophecies indicate that while peace reigns in many places after the three days of darkness, other places will still suffer warfare, civil wars, and revolutions for a number of years. Imagine a horrible war like World War 3 ending in much of the world and in Europe, but there are still some regional conflicts similar to the Syrian Civil War ongoing in the Middle East, like Bosnia in some former Soviet republics, not to mention civil wars in Italy, Britain, and France ... and a final civil war in what is left of Russia. Only when a horrible plague that eats away the eyes in North America is cured and an accompanying civil war ended, and Italy itself also is pacified in 2044 does all come to an end and peace prevail under the great Monarch and the great Pontiff.
The vast majority of us, regardless of age, will never live to see the end of what has begun or will begin soon ... and end entirely in the 2040's.
However, I will correct myself: Dieudonné is a fairly young man and could well be alive roughly two decades from now to become the French pope.
