In this especially tense and dangerous time, oddly, there is little more to talk about besides the elephant in the room: Ukraine and Russia's efforts to absorb it into a new Russian empire or resurrected Soviet Union. I have been warning that this will happen since my main website first went live on the now long-defunct GeoCities in May 1999 (Yahoo! took over serving my site in 2001). Unfortunately, this is one of those predictions where projecting a date when this would begin happening was virtually impossible. I did predict that a Russian military invasion of Georgia would occur in December 1998 ... and was close enough to count the August 2008 Russo-Georgian War a success despite being off by four months. But other predictions anticipating Russia's next moves have met with failure. That is, until late last year.
I anticipated a dangerous Revolution in Hungary would begin in September 2013 and lead to Russian military intervention and a possible faceoff between Russia and the United States. Instead, the revolution I foresaw for Hungary began in Ukraine two months later ... in November 2013. True to the prediction, nonetheless, Russia sent in troops and now NATO and the US are preparing to confront Moscow. As I have mentioned elsewhere, Hungary used to be a much bigger place in Nostradamus' time and included Transcarpathian Ukraine. This has to be taken into consideration since the prediction, in part, is based on an actual Nostradamus quatrain and, in part, the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It may well be that modern-day Hungary will ultimately undergo the same fate as Ukraine, but regardless, this is the same part of the world. In another, now-terrifying companion prediction on the same page, "Second Russia-Georgia War Spreads Through Transcaucasia Into Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, and the Balkans," I flatly stated that Ukraine would be among a handful of former Soviet republics, former Warsaw Pact nations, and neighboring countries Russia would invade. The dating for that was August 2013, clearly out of sequence and one month off with the Revolution prediction, but that was the closest the base 7 system would bring the two events together.
I have been asked, is World War III about to start this year? I would counter that question with a reminder that what Vladimir Putin is currently engaging in is not unlike what Hitler did in 1937 and 1938. Hitler systematically annexed the Germanic parts of his neighbor countries, allegedly to "defend" the interests of the German populations living there. This should sound familiar as Putin is using the same tactics: to defend Russian people and Russian interests in Ukraine, he has annexed Crimea and is now trying to slice off a portion of Eastern Ukraine. Next will come the Transdniester portion of Moldova and possibly Russian portions of Kaliningrad and Finland.

Furthermore, she says there will be a second invasion on the southern flank before Russia can invade Germany and the rest of Western Europe in August. That is a lot of land grabbing and wide deployments of troops, even for a military power like Russia! It is for this reason I do not think it likely that World War III in Europe can possibly happen by August of this year ... not using the current tactics now in play in Ukraine.
Remember, Russia must plow through a wall of former Soviet republics to its west BEFORE it can attack the former Warsaw Pact nations (now NATO members) and then must conquer all of these before going for the West European jugular. It must smite Turkey and Afghanistan to get to Iran, Iraq, presumably allying with Syria, and moving on to the oil fields of Saudi Arabia. Turkey will be a hard nut to crack and Russia's last adventure in Afghanistan was a ten-year-long disaster. Only Finland, Sweden, and Norway are fairly soft targets, but an attack on Scandinavia would be met with NATO's nuclear naval forces coming out of Norway.
It is more likely that Putin will conduct himself as he is now in other former Soviet republics and eventually the former Warsaw Pact, the Middle East, Finland and Scandinavia over the next year or two years. It is even possible that Russia will withdraw completely from Ukraine by August of this year, only to begin a new crisis elsewhere next year (possibly in Georgia again). I would be more concerned that August 2015 or August 2016 will see the actual Russian invasion of Western Europe.

Nostradamus NEVER used the phrase "the third antichrist." What many people believe is the quatrain that says this is Quatrain 8.77, which actually says:
The antichrist very soon annihilates the three, twenty and seven years his war will last: The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled, human bodies, blood, water, red hail covering the earth.
This is about the beast of Revelation, who appears as an eleventh and final king of a world empire in Daniel 7:23-26:
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

| However, even though Nostradamus never mentions a "third Antichrist," he DOES mention "the second Antichrist" in his Epistle to Henry II. Thus, since he is linked to three figures who all die in the year "1945," one from Germany (Hitler) and the other from Italy (Mussolini), and another from France (Laval), we can deduce that there will be a third antichrist and possibly a fourth, a fifth, and more (judging from all the ominous names appearing in the quatrains that have not yet matched or approximated the name of any evil figure since the Second World War). Make no mistake about it: VLADIMIR PUTIN IS BECOMING A THIRD ANTICHRIST. He WILL fulfill that role ... unless he backs off, permanently. He is not Mabus nor Alus nor anyone else who appears in anagram. He is not NAMED by Nostradamus, but the Russian adversary is everywhere to be found in the quatrains. Putin is a conqueror like Napoleon and Hitler before him: one who calculates and builds his empire piece by piece, first under cover of diplomacy and historical claims, then by direct military aggression! |  |

All three of these events I accurately predicted; however, the War in Gaza failed to spread to Lebanon as it did in 2006. If it had, we would not be discussing World War III and the Third Antichrist right now. It would all be over and we, most of us, would be dead.
Today, everything and everyone necessary is in place for the unthinkable to happen. Ukraine can be the Rubicon over which passing there will be no turning back. Or perhaps the line will be breached in Moldova or Kaliningrad.
The Hopi Indians were right about the spiral path to oblivion: we are on it and the spiral is getting more and more wild and out of control. If we do not abandon this path for the straight path we were on before 2008, there will be very little future left.
