Vers Aquilon grans efforts par hommasse
Presque l'Europe & l'univers vexer,
Les deux eclipse mettra en tel chasse,
Et aux Pannons vie & mort renforcer.
Great exertions towards Aquilon (or the North) by a masculine woman (or Hamas)
To vex Europe and nearly all the Universe.
The two eclipses will be put into such a rout
That they will reinforce life or death for the Pannonians.
In a world where words can have multiple meanings it is possible lines 1 and 2 have been fulfilled, line 3 is in progress, and only line 4 remains to be determined.
Alternatively, lines 1 and 2 may have only been partially fulfilled. It all depends on how you look at it. Since 1999 I have seen several of Nostradamus's quatrains go through the "almost but not quite" syndrome: where the first three lines are fulfilled but the last line is not. And if the last line is not fulfilled, it generally means the entire quatrain still awaits fulfillment in the indefinite future.
Take line 1 of the quatrain now under review.
On the other hand, the secondary meaning of "hommasse" in line 1 is, as the word is actually pronounced, "Hamas." The "north" then simply stands for Israel and even northern Israel.
Thus, we have a quatrain that appears to address two different wars: the one between Russia and Ukraine (with some involvement in Belarus courtesy of the Wagner Group), and the new one between Israel and Hamas (Gaza) which may include Lebanon (Hezbollah) and even Syria and Iran.
U.S. Enters Dangerous New Phase in Shadow War With Iran
The United States has been hitting back at Iran-linked militants after a barrage of attacks on American targets in the Middle East in recent weeks, with U.S. forces conducting several retaliatory strikes that run the risk of kicking off a wider war. Although the U.S. says the operations are aimed at deterring further attacks against its forces in the region, the retaliatory strikes haven’t been entirely successful. Just on Friday, U.S. military bases bore the brunt of three attacks in both Iraq and Syria, according to a report from the AP. The ongoing clashes have raised concerns that the U.S. may inadvertently set off a wider escalation, as opposed to the intended goal of deterring attacks on American forces in the region.
Key Israeli military base destroyed 'by Hezbollah rocket strike' as escalation fears surge
A rocket attack from Lebanon has hit the IDF's Biranit base in northern Israel, the IDF confirmed on Monday. Footage posted to social media shows extensive damage and fire caused by the devastating shelling. The IDF confirmed that rockets were fired at the base. Times of Israel correspondent Emmanuel Fabian reported on social media that Hezbollah is responsible. No injuries were reported in the attack, but footage shows the base was badly damaged. Monday's attack reportedly began with the IDF striking first, with Israeli military saying it had shelled Lebanon with artillery to prevent Hezbollah from approaching the area, according to the Times.
German-Israeli Shani Louk was ‘beheaded by Hamas’, says Israel’s President
A young woman whose naked body was paraded on the back of a pick-up truck was "beheaded by Hamas", says Israel's President. Shani Louk, 22, was enjoying a festival close to the Gaza border on October 7 when militants attacked, slaughtering hundreds and taking others hostage. Israeli President Yitzchak Herzog told German news outlet Bild she was beheaded by "sadistic animals". He said: "I am truly sorry to report that we have now received news that Shani Nicole Louk has been confirmed murdered and dead. "This means that these barbaric, sadistic animals simply chopped off her head as they attacked, tortured and killed Israelis. It is a great tragedy and I extend my deepest condolences to her family."
Girl Kidnapped By Hamas on Motorbike May Not Be Released in Time to Say Goodbye to Cancer-Stricken Mom, Family Fears
26-year-old Noa Argamani was one of the attendees of the Supernova Music Festival kidnapped by Hamas terrorists after their surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7, and now her family worries she may not be released in time to say goodbye to her cancer-stricken mother. In a video released by Hamas that day, Argamani could be heard screaming, “Don’t kill me! No, no, no,” while being forced onto a motorcycle. Argamani can be seen in a subsequent video drinking water in a room in Gaza, according to the BBC. Her plight has received global attention and her father worries there’s a chance his daughter and wife will never see each other again. “My wife is not in the best place, the doctors do not have much hope for her,” Argamani’s father Yaacov told The Daily Mail. "It is a really hard time for us as a family and we are trying to get through it.”
If "hommasse" is not only about Hamas but an actual masculine female, we can only guess who that is. It would likely be someone famous and outspoken, possibly a female politician, possibly from the United States. It could also be a very famous female celebrity, world famous. Currently the one in the spotlight who has cried out against the atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israelis as well as the horrible war in Ukraine, is pop singer Madonna, now on her Celebration tour.
Families of Israeli hostages sing Madonna's 'Like a Prayer' for their release
Family members of hundreds of Israeli civilians held hostage by Gaza terrorist groups have united to sing a rendition of Madonna's 1989 hit "Like a Prayer," calling for the release of their loved ones. The poignant music video, posted to YouTube by Koolulam, a social-musical initiative aimed at "strengthening the fabric of society through mass singing events", features families of Israeli captives and participants from over 100 locations around the world who took part in an urgent call to bring the hostages back. Last month, the singer faced significant criticism for expressing solidarity with Israel, despite also voicing support for Palestinians and advocating for peace. "What's happening right now between Israel and Palestine, obviously is heartbreaking," the 65-year-old singer said. "I see children being thrown off motorcycles, kidnapped, babies being decapitated, children at peace raves being shot and killed, what the f**k is going on in the world?"
Madonna Says Israel-Hamas War Footage Makes Her ‘Want to Vomit’: ‘What the F— Is Going on in the World?’
Madonna addressed the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas at her third Celebration Tour date in London on Tuesday night, asking the audience, “What the fuck is going on in the world?” According to The Guardian, the Queen of Pop took a moment during the concert to make a lengthy statement about the war, calling it “heartbreaking.” “Nobody wants to see what’s happening. I turn on social media and I want to vomit,” Madonna said, as The Guardian reports. “I see children being kidnapped, pulled off motorcycles; babies being decapitated, children at peace raves being shot and killed. What the fuck is going on in the world? How can human beings be so cruel to one another? It’s just getting worse. It frightens me.”
Although I have played around with the idea (not all that seriously, I may add) that the great exertions by the masculine female would be secret agent stuff, with the woman locked and loaded and ready to play a comic book superhero, it only takes a loud voice and a lot of shrewd and clever diplomacy to accomplish "great exertions." Think of someone like former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
The idea of a "secret agent" or of "espionage" was derived from pop star Madonna when she identified herself as such during the Madame X tour.
Vladimir Putin turns on Netanyahu as he sees Israel 'as Russia's enemy'
Vladimir Putin will now see Israel as an "enemy" as he moves closer to Iran and sides with Hamas in the Middle East, a former speechwriter for the Russian President tells Daily Express US. Hamas has called Russia its “closest friend” as the terror group vows to release eight Russian hostages kidnapped during its October 7 attack in Israel. Putin appears to be breaking from his previous line of neutrality over Israel and Palestine. This week he called on Israel to cancel its ground invasion into Gaza. Abbas Gallyamov, a former speechwriter for Putin from 2008-2012 who lives in Tel Aviv, tells Daily Express US that Putin has become more reliant on Iran for weapons, and this is why he has shifted to a more pro-Palestine stance.
Russia says it rehearsed 'massive' nuclear strike
Russia has rehearsed its ability to deliver a "massive" nuclear strike, the Kremlin says. The military exercise involved delivering a "response to an enemy nuclear strike", Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said. State TV showed him recounting the rehearsal to President Vladimir Putin. It comes as Russia's parliament backed the withdrawal of Moscow's ratification of a global treaty that bans all physical testing of nuclear warheads. Russia and the United States conduct regular nuclear readiness simulations - Moscow has traditionally held its own towards the end of October. The exercises this year involved "delivering a massive nuclear strike by strategic offensive forces in response to an enemy nuclear strike", Mr Shoigu reported to President Putin.
U.S. Is Not Ready for Growing Nuclear Threat From Russia and China, Report Says
As Russia and China continue to expand their nuclear arsenals, the U.S. is unprepared for the prospect of facing two nuclear equals for the first time, a new bipartisan Congressional report warns. The report describes the growing threat from Russia and China, and calls for a dramatic overhaul of America’s nuclear arsenal and strategic posture. "It is an existential challenge for which the United States is ill-prepared, unless its leaders make decisions now," the report says. “It is apparent from the report that there is much more that we should be doing to ensure our military, and particularly our nuclear forces, are capable of deterring two near-peer nuclear adversaries at the same time,” Roger Wicker, a top Republican on the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, said in a statement following the report's release.
NASA Is Heading to Niagara Falls for the 2024 Solar Eclipse — Here's Why
If you haven't yet made plans to see the total solar eclipse in 2024, Niagara Falls is beckoning. The New York State destination is partnering with NASA on a series of eclipse events and exhibitions in the days leading up to the grand show, as well as day-of programming. “We have been planning for this event for several years and in our wildest dreams couldn’t have imagined being able to work with NASA to provide this incredible experience," New York State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. The scientist- and expert-led experiences — all of which will be free to the public — will kick off on April 4 and be hosted in venues throughout Niagara Falls, including Niagara Falls Public Libraries, The Underground Railroad Heritage Center, The Aquarium of Niagara, and Niagara Falls State Park, where the falls themselves are located, among other sites.
Miss Saturday's eclipse? Don't despair, another one is coming in April 2024
Did you miss the "ring of fire" eclipse Saturday? The universe has you covered. Literally. A total solar eclipse is forecast on April 8, according to NASA, giving millions of people in North America a dash of darkness. The space agency said the phenomenon will pass over Mexico, the United States and Canada and make the sky appear as if it were dawn or dusk. That brief moment of darkness will happen when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, blocking the sun. Some people will be in the path of totality and – ideally wearing the proper eye protection until that moment – they'll be able to see the moon completely cover the sun. Only those in that path can remove their eclipse glasses and see it with the naked eye.
Earth will experience 2 eclipses this month. Here's what you need to know
The annular solar eclipse of 2023 has completed its pass over the United States and moved into parts of Central America and South America. Read our wrap to see amazing photos and videos. Both the sun and the moon will experience eclipses this month, although seeing them both in person could be tricky. The Oct. 14 annular solar eclipse will be visible from eight states in the U.S. Southwest. This type of eclipse happens when the moon is slightly farther away from Earth than usual, making it appear too small to block out the entire sun and instead leave a thin "ring of fire" visible. For those outside the path of annularity, a partial solar eclipse will also be visible throughout the entire United States. nd later in the month, on Oct. 28, a partial lunar eclipse will be visible from much of the Eastern Hemisphere, including Europe, Africa, Asia, Antarctica and Oceania. During the partial lunar eclipse, the moon will pass through Earth's shadow, making it appear less bright than usual. The partial lunar eclipse will begin at 3:36 p.m. EDT (1936 GMT) and end at 4:53 p.m. EDT (2053 GMT).
10.31.23. The second eclipse has occurred, a partial lunar one. Now two very powerful solar and lunar eclipses await in April and May of 2024 ... these will be total, long, and powerful eclipses and for some regions, the total solar will be rare, not having been seen in a century. There may be others coming we do not know about yet. Thus, we ARE in the time of the two eclipses, as I first discussed back in 1999. I predicted this period, but I was 25 years too early. I will be putting that prediction back up on my 1999-2009 page (I have kept it off because I considered it a failure at that time, but it does not appear it will be a failure this time).
Thus line 3 of Quatrain 8.15 remains in progress until at least April or May 2024.
Pannonia appears in the final line. It was a province of the Roman Empire, corresponding to present-day western Hungary and parts of eastern Austria, as well as portions of several Balkan states. The Pannonian Region includes all of Hungary, parts of Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Romania, stretching out of the EU into Serbia, Croatia and the Ukraine.
NATO bolsters forces in Kosovo as US urges Serbia to withdraw from border
NATO said on Friday it is increasing its peacekeeping presence in northern Kosovo as a result of escalating tensions with neighboring Serbia, as the U.S. called on Serbia to withdraw a military buildup on the border with Kosovo. The heightening of tensions comes after about 30 heavily armed Serbs stormed the northern Kosovo village of Banjska last Sunday. A Kosovo policeman and three of the attackers were killed in gun battles. “We need NATO because the border with Serbia is very long and the Serbian army has been recently strengthening its capacities,” Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti told the Associated Press. “They have a lot of military equipment from both the Russian Federation and China,” he said.
Just a reminder that Pope Francis should avoid any city watered by the Danube and the Tisza, especially in Serbia, Vojvodina and Hungary.
This final line may yet to materialize ... unless Ukraine is considered as part of Pannonia. And apparently it is.
Even so, I suspect a war in Hungary or Serbia is what is being referenced. There has been considerable friction, off and on again, between Serbia and Kosovo. This war may not happen until the April 2024 solar eclipse.
Either that, or else Quatrain 8.15 won't be fulfilled this time around either.
