Mixed reactions to Nostradamus' 1999 and seven months prophecy remain mixed. Following the destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, the Seer of Waldviertel was quick to point out that his prophecy concerning the destruction of NYC by two atomic devices had NOT been fulfilled in any way by the 911 event and still remained for the future. Despite the appearance of four major naked eye comets since 1996 ... Hyakutake in 1996, Hale-Bopp in 1997, McNaught in 2007, and Holmes in 2007 ... none heralded the death of a figure named Mabus nor fufilled any other Nostradamus comet-related prophecy. Two that had the potential to outshine any of the above, Comet Elenin and Comet ISON, both dissolved into invisible fragments before they could become much of anything visually. With reports of portions of streets and sidewalks in Tokyo, Sendai, and some other Japanese cities sinking under water, backed up by videos, following a massive 9.0 earthquake and monster tsunami off the coast of Honshu on March 11, 2011, it seemed that Edgar Cayce might soon be correct concerning his prophecy about Japan disappearing beneath the ocean. At best, we can say that his prophecy was partially fulfilled or at least, was off to a good start.
Now the long-dreaded time of Nelson Mandela's death has arrived. Why it has been dreaded for so long has to do with a prophecy by a South African visionary known as Siener van Rensburg, sometimes simply called The Seer van Rensburg. His prophecy describes a series of cataclysmic events that are supposed to occur during the time of mourning of a famous and beloved black leader of South Africa whose statue stands as a landmark in his honor while he is still living. Most everyone has agreed over the many years that this person could be only man: Nelson Mandela.
I will now post this prophecy I received from a South African viewer who went by the name of "Kobus" via email back in 2003, over ten years ago.
Before sending it to me he wrote: "I don't know if you've ever heard of "Seer van Rensburg"? He is a very famous Boer prophet. Anyway, he predicted that around the time that a black man that was imprisoned for a long time, and achieved great fame would die (probably Mandela), the country would erupt in violence ..."
I asked him to send along the prophecy, which he did.
The raw emailed prophecy sent to me was never posted on my site and instead I posted a review of it with our interpretations and those of Adriaan Snyman included in the text. The prophecy itself, translated from Afrikaans without interpretations, was lost when the computer I had purchased in 1998 crashed. What follows here is the review (which can also still be seen on my website on page 2003 Part Four :
Did a South African prophet foresee a coming "war within a war" -- a horrific conflict that would spread throughout Southern Africa, both civil and international in nature, during a time when a greater war (World War III) would plague humanity?
The Seer van Rensburg, a Boer native of South Africa foresaw many events that would happen to his country during his lifetime. He also saw the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela, the end of apartheid and Mandela's release, his rise to power and his alliances with Russia, Eastern communist nations, and certain Arab states (Mandela's successor, Thabo Mbeki, has continued the policy and is taking sides with Iraq in the current crisis). His final vision concerned the death of this great South African black leader, seven days of mourning, and the war to follow.
The statue of the great man is toppled. The prophet goes on to say that the black leader will lie in state on Church Square in Pretoria in a glass coffin. No one will work for seven days throughout South Africa. The nature of the mourning, its sense of bitterness and unrestrainable grief, suggests that the leader may be a victim of assassination. Afterwards, on the eighth day, he will be buried in Heroe's Acre.
The great man's coffin is lowered into the ground, and fires issue forth from the sides and one large one blazes near the front of the tomb. Then naked people appear -- the poor and those who will mourn in tribal tradition. According to Snyman, the fires indicate violence breaking out in South Africa and the large one in front full-scale civil war. It is also quite possible that the large fire may portend a great war in southern Africa, including nations like Zimbabwe and Angola. Van Rensburg, elsewhere, specifically mentions a massive strike crippling the country at the time of the black leader's violent death.
During this period of strikes and internal violence, the Seer sees a slaughtered sheep hanging on a hook, a sign that the strike is evolving into civil war. Then he sees omens of world war: three pots boiling rapidly in Europe, a ditch with blue water, and women dressed in black coming out of Europe to mourn. Then comes "a round tank in the east and fire falls out of it." All of this to happen or begin happening during the seven days of mourning.
The Seer in his mystical trance sees himself in the vision at table, dividing a tart, and seeing silver letters appear on a shining sheet of tin. They are from Psalm 12:6: "The words of the Lord are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."
The tart is what remains of South Africa after civil war. It becomes further divided, until it reaches extinction. The Biblical admonition indicates that the nation will literally enter the furnace of hell -- or at least enter into very dark and horrid times.
First off, it was Snyman who interpreted the toppled statue as meaning that Nelson Mandela would die violently. And of course Mr Mandela did not die from violence, but died of natural causes at age 95. However, a strange coincidence has occurred three days into the nationwide and worldwide mourning of Nelson Mandela. We cannot, however, mention this coincidence without addressing another prophecy within this prophecy: that of "the three pots boiling rapidly in Europe."
I believe these three pots boiling in Europe are REVOLUTIONS and, even worse, possible civil wars. One of these pots began to boil only a few days before Nelson Mandela's death: the protests that have turned into a new orange revolution in Ukraine. Roughly half of the people there are on the side of Ukraine joining the EU and have thus taken a stand against the government of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. The other half of Ukrainians fear sharing the economic woes and austerity the Eurozone has been experiencing since 2010 and support the Yanukovych regime. Many Ukraine watchers believe there is a danger of the revolution turning into civil war, with East Ukraine pitted against West. Yesterday, pro-EU supporters turned their wrath eastwards towards Russia ands its leader Vladimir Putin because Putin has been pressuring Yanukovych to keep Ukraine out of the EU and maintain close ties with Moscow instead, ordering the Ukrainian president to bring an end to the street protests.
This brings me to mention the coincidence concerning the statue toppling in Van Rensburg's prophecy. What if the toppled statue is linked to the three pots boiling over in Europe and not to Mandela??
Yesterday, protesters in Ukraine knocked down a statue of Vladimir Lenin in outrage over the Ukrainian government's push for closer ties with Russia. CNN reports "A crowd of cheering protesters chanted "Good job" after the statue fell in Kiev's Bessarabska Square.
"Some pounded the monument with hammers, leaving pieces of the statue scattered on the ground. Only parts of the Soviet hero's legs remained at the base. A man waving a Ukrainian flag stood atop the pedestal beside them."
Lenin statue toppled in Ukraine protest
Yes, there is no doubt about it: one of the boiling pots is Ukraine. No doubt, that is, if two more boiling pots are to follow.
A second potential boiling pot, Bulgaria, has been in and out of protests, protesters recently declaring that they wish to link their antigovernment demonstrations with those marching in the streets of Kiev. Whether or not this will play out is uncertain.
"The black leader will lie in state on Church Square in Pretoria in a glass coffin."
That is as good as fulfilled.
Daily Mail 7 December 2013
Nelson Mandela’s funeral cortege will travel through the streets of South Africa’s capital for three consecutive days ahead of his burial. In what will be remarkable scenes, thousands of mourners are being urged by the government to line the route and ‘form a public guard of honour’.
The cortege will leave a military hospital on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings to go to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, the official seat of government and administrative capital, where Mr Mandela will lie in state in a glass-topped coffin.
There, South Africans will have the opportunity to file past his body and say a final farewell, but, amid tight security, they will not be allowed to bring phones or cameras inside. ‘We call on members of the public to co-operate with the authorities to ensure that this event is dignified and secure,’ said government minister Collins Chabane yesterday.
In a state funeral that may even eclipse that of Princess Diana in 1997, world leaders will arrive in South Africa this week for the ‘ten-day remembrance’ of the former president.
Anxious and conflicted: Afrikaners await a post-Mandela world
Many are grateful to his reconciliation of the races, but some of the white minority still express fears of a 'night of the long knives'
The Observer, Saturday 7 December 2013 18.00 EST
The great majority of Afrikaners (white peoples of predominantly Dutch, German and French Huguenot ancestry) interviewed by the Observer in Benoni, a former gold-mining town east of Johannesburg, expressed sorrow at (Mandela's) loss and admiration for his ability to bridge the nation's racial divide.
But several also spoke of a deep-rooted fear that Mandela's death could dismantle the social pact of 1994 and lead to persecution, or worse, of the white minority. And a small fraction echoed the views of the marginal rightwingers who yearn to rekindle racial apartheid.
"I didn't agree with any of his opinions or statements on things," said Dirk Smit, walking through Benoni's nondescript town centre with his girlfriend. "In general, I would say the country is not better than it was in 1994. It's much worse. Crime is just ridiculous, healthcare is terrible now – you can't use public systems any more – and the roads are bad. The poor are still poor and life for the middle class has gone backwards."
And the rainbow nation? "There's still a division between the races in this country. You go to any function and see the people are split. I have some black friends, but 99% of my friends are white because we share the same culture."
There has long been an urban myth, fanned by the internet in recent years, that Mandela's death would be the trigger for a so-called "night of the long knives" in which whites would be wiped out. Some, it is said, have undergone military training to defend themselves and have even stockpiled cans of food in bunkers ...
Andre Visagie, 59, a farm owner and leader of the Covenant People Republicans, a group which is seeking independent republics for each "nation" of people in South Africa, warned: "We foresee there will now be an accumulation of violence against white people. Anarchy will become a regular thing. Our advice to people is don't get involved in conflict; take your firearms and shoot your way to safety as a last resort."
There are also errors: there are ten days of mourning rather than seven, people are still working in South Africa, there are no strikes in progress, and Mandela will not be buried in Heroes Acre.
Still we watch and wait to see if the more disturbing elements occur before the end of the ten days. Again, most of these events are not supposed to happen in their entirety until the final three days. At this time it is only speculation that the revolution in Ukraine is one of the "three pots boiling rapidly in Europe."
If these things fail to materialize, we must write off this prophecy of Siener van Rensburg as false. And if van Rensburg is wrong, might not others like Alois Irlmaier and the Seer of Waldviertel also be wrong?
In any event, we can be grateful that Comet ISON disintegrated after passing close to the sun: had it remained intact as the brightest comet since 1680 or even the brightest in all history we might well be focusing on Nostradamus' Mabus quatrain with tremendous trepidation.
