It is a problem the wide-ranging world of prophecy has in store for us. That when focusing on one single issue or phenomenon, not one single prophecy but two, three, four, or many different prophecies by various different prophets may apply to that event.
Below we discussed the Red Nova, still known only as KIC 9832227, the binary stars in Cygnus that are supposed to collide and create a red supernova in 2022. It was noted that this sounds an awful lot like "The Warning" in the Marian prophecy at Garabandal. In a way that would be good, for it would buy the world another five years, plus the year to two years that follow The Warning before the dreaded Chastisement.
But what if Red Nova is not The Warning but instead ... the star Wormwood in the Book of Revelation? That may mean there is little to no time at all by virtue of the coming sixth seal worldwide judgment and the first four trumpets of the seventh seal to follow, Wormwood being the third.

When the great pontiff changes his land.
Is it possible that that "great star" and Wormwood are the same? Or are they different?
So there you have it: three different views of the same phenomenon.
Of course there are some astronomers that say Red Nova will be no brighter than Polaris, the north star. That is not very bright. In the city, Polaris is very hard to find due to light pollution. If they are right, Red Nova will be a non-event.
And what of the Blue Star prophesied by the Hopi Indians that is to precede the Red Star? That too is a Warning event.
Thus, depending on how we interpret prophecies and how we look at this coming stellar event in 2022, we are either in a period of grace with a warning to come ... or we stand at the precipice of imminent apocalyptic destruction well before the nova even appears. And if KIC 9832227 is a non-event ... it may just be carry on, business as usual.

As Saudi Arabia threatens Iran with retaliation after the Saudi military intercepted a Iranian missile launched by Yemen over its capital of Riyadh a week ago, we are once again brought before the Bible prophecy of Daniel. Daniel foretells of a great war that will be started by the King of Persia (Iran) ... a war that begins with an attack and an invasion of "Grecia."
Daniel 11:2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
Sounds like war with Greece, doesn't it? Yet, the King James translators got the name "Grecia" from the original Old Testament word Yawan (also Yavan or Javan).
What does Yawan mean? In English spelling Yawan appears as Yavan or Javan. From Bible Study Tools at https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/javan/ we find out the following about Javan:
1. The fourth "son" of Japheth ( Genesis 10:2 ), whose descendants settled in Greece, i.e., Ionia, which bears the name of Javan in Hebrew. Alexander the Great is called the "king of Javan" (rendered "Grecia," Daniel 8:21 ; 10:20 ; comp 11:2 ; Zechariah 9:13 ). This word was universally used by the nations of the East as the generic name of the Greek race.
2. A town or district of Arabia Felix, from which the Syrians obtained iron, cassia, and calamus ( Ezekiel 27:19 ).

2. A town in the southern part of Arabia (Yemen ), whither the Phoenicians traded. ( Ezekiel 27:19 )
Clearly the translators went for definition 1. Yet there is also a possibility that it may mean definition 2.

Right now, with Saudi Arabia at war with Yemen, and with Iran launching a missile at the Saudi kingdom's capital from Yemen, I would say definition 2 sounds more ominous, probable and likely than definiton 1. It sounds very much like an Iranian war with Javan will take the form of a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia similar to the Iran-Iraq War of 1980-88, but much worse. Indeed, war with Greece and Asia Minor (Turkey), the first Yavan/Javan definition, may also follow as foretold by Nostradamus ... but its origin may be a war with Yawan/Javan in Arabia felix.

There are no answers to any of these questions; neither a yes or a no. Instead we are left with a number of tantalizing scenarios for Red Nova and a major war involving Iran, but no way to say with any certainty which of these, if any, will take place ... or if one does, exactly when.
You can see why correct prophecy interpretation is next to impossible, even when using historical precedents as a means to date such events using a base 7 system. There are too many possibilities to choose from, each one equal in potential. And then there is always the "non-event" scenario ... which means the time is not at hand for any of these.
Still, prophecy (including visions, waking or dream state) and history are the only tools we have in determining what may lie ahead in the future.
UPDATE: Sufyani Attacks in Iran?
In the article below I cast doubt that the former ISIS caliphate and its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, could have served in the role of the prophesied Sufyani due to a number of prophecies not yet fulfilled. One of these was that ISIS had never led an attack against territory within the nation of Iran. That apparently did occur in 2017, but on a very small scale:
"On 7 June 2017, two terrorist attacks were simultaneously carried out by five terrorists belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) against the Iranian Parliament building and the Mausoleum of Ruhollah Khomeini, both in Tehran, Iran, leaving 17 civilians dead and 43 wounded.
The shootings were the first terrorist attacks in Tehran in more than a decade, and the first major terror attack in the country since the 2010 Zahedan bombings.
Government officials later stated that they had foiled a third attack that day ... On 18 June 2017, the IRGC launched a series of medium-range precision missiles at an ISIL headquarters in Dayr al-Zawr from inside Iran. The retaliatory strikes were, according to an IRGC statement, sending a message to the terrorists
and their networks of supporters after the bloodshed in Tehran."
