I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia [Iran], Ethiopia [all east Africa south of Egypt], and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet. I started this blog at a time when the major news was the revolution in Ukraine and Russian meddling in parts of that country during the crisis, leading to the "little green men" (Russian spetsnaz) paving the way for a Russian military takeover of Crimea. We must still watch out for the little green men as the enlarged war in Syria and Iraq draws in more and more major powers as Russia bombards Assad's enemies. Bashar al-Assad is Moscow's man in Damascus, never forget that! It may well be he is still the "bloody Alus" I tagged him to be back in 2011, and not ISIS/ISIL/IS or their leader. And I never believed that al-Baghdadi had been killed during the recent strike on ISIS .. you know what they say: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Seems the media and major governments (not restricted to only the United States by any means) has a thing these days about fooling us again and again and again. For shame!
Well, we all know about the Isaiah prophecy concerning the "burden of Damascus" and the Jeremiah prophecy about "kindling a fire in the walls of Damascus." Both prophecies essentially say the city will cease to exist, whether piece by piece or in one blinding, nuclear mushroom shroud.

However, nowhere in either prophecy is Russia mentioned as being involved. That's the good news. The bad news is that something Russia does or is complicit in doing could cause Israel and Syria to exchange hostilities, opening up a far more deadly chapter in the Syrian conflict: an all out Arab-Israeli War. Certainly if Israel suffers a catastrophic attack from Syria, with Russia's blessing or participation, Damascus will likely become history overnight (as will "the neighbour cities thereof"). Again, there is no DIRECT evidence in Bible prophecy anywhere about Russia getting involved in the civil war in Syria. It isn't there. Even the Ezekiel prophecy concerning "Gog, the land of Magog" does NOT mention the nation of SYRIA in any context whatsoever.
Instead we are instructed to pay attention to the following countries: Meschech and Tubal (ancient kingdoms of Asia Minor, now located in TURKEY); Persia (IRAN and a small southeastern portion of IRAQ); Ethiopia (not only Ethiopia, but Sudan, Somalia, and other nations of East Africa); Libya (same nation as the Libya of today); Gomer (TURKEY again); Togarmah (UKRAINE, MOLDOVA, possibly part of ROMANIA and BULGARIA, and part of SOUTHERN RUSSIA); and Magog (GEORGIA, ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, and another part of RUSSIA).
Syria is NOT mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Neither is Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Kuwait, or any of the smaller gulf kingdoms.

Why then is Gog given the title of "prince" rather than as "king?" We know that a "prince" is often the SON of a king. If Gog is the "chief prince" of Turkey, where is the "king?" Does the father of Gog rule in another country? That would be possible if not for the fact that a distinctive "king" associated with Gog is NEVER mentioned anywhere in the Ezekiel prophecy!

According to Erna Stieglitz, whose prophecies we will cover more thoroughly below, RUSSIA will invade Turkey twice in the month of JULY (no year given), conquering it on the second invasion in late July and then absorbing it into its SOUTHERN FLANK.

Russia violates Turkish airspace
One should not turn a blind eye towards modern-day Gomer, Meschech, and Tubal which is completely comprised by TURKEY. Russia has breached Turkish airspace a number of times and no one yet knows who was responsible for the worst "terrorist" bombing in the nation's history. It might have been the work of ISIS, but watch out for the "little green men" making moves in the Middle East as well as in the Balkans.
It is all a part of Russia's "grand design" for conquest of Europe and the destruction of the United States ... a plan first drafted in the Soviet era during the early 1970s. When I went live with my site in May 1999 at GeoCities, I declared that this plan had never been abandoned, despite Gorbachev's and Yeltsin's reforms. Putin was and is exactly what I thought him to be in July 1999: another KGB man, but one destined to carry out the old orders for conquest.

War in the Byzantine Empire
During the days of the Sufyaani, the Byzantine ruler will be at war with one Christian faction and will make peace with the other. Thus the warring Christian faction will run over Qustuntuniyyah (Istanbul), and will occupy it. The Byzantine ruler will flee and go to Shaam. The Muslim army with the aid of the friendly Christian party will wage war against the enemy Christian party, and will be victorious.

If the leader of ISIS is the evil Arab figure known as "the Sufyani," it is said that during his reign there will be war in the Byzantine Empire. I believe this is about Orthodox Christian nations being at war with Roman Catholic and Protestant Christian nations. In other words, Russia and its allies v.s. the United States and its NATO allies. Ezekiel calls Gog the "chief prince of Meschech and Tubal (Turkey)," thus indicating that Turkey will become a principality. Erna Stieglitz predicted that Russia will invade Turkey twice and conquer it. That should be a no-brainer then: Russia and its Orthodox Christian allies "Togarmah" and "Magog" from around the Black Sea and Caspian Sea is "the warring Christian faction." The U.S. and NATO is "the friendly Christian party."
More turmoil in Ukraine yet to come
One might be justifiably concerned about the status of modern-day Togarmah, as it is largely made up of Ukraine. Therefore, a struggle to take control of the entire country would appear to merely be on hold. Either that, or the current government in Kiev will for some reason ally with Russia and the other nations against Israel.
If military conflict is rekindled in Ukraine in a bid by Moscow to wrest control of the country, and this is the time for the war of Gog, expect to see this conflict spread to Moldova, and ultimately the entire Balkans region.

Moscow has supplied much of the equipment and technology that threatens to turn Iran into a major nuclear power. This support first began being reported as long ago as 1994. Iran is also one of the few Middle East nations now at war with ISIS, but also supporting the regime of Bashar al-Assad. It is Russian and Iranian support for Assad that puts the US military in the region at odds with the Moscow-Tehran axis.
As for Persia, there has been a longtime alliance between Russia and Iran and cooperation between the two concerning Tehran's nuclear program. Civil war in Libya
One should be very concerned about the ongoing civil war (yes, civil war) in Libya between the pro-government faction led by the former pro-Gadhafi strongman Libyan General Khalifa Belqasim Hifter in Tobruk v.s. the North African detachment of ISIS based in Tripoli. I believe it is highly possible that Nostradamus was NOT referring to Adolf Hitler by using "Hifter" as an anagram for "Hitler," but was actually using Hifter as a proper surname. If this is true, it may also be true that Secretary General of the U.S. Navy, Raymond Mabus IS actually "Mabus" and not the painter "Mabuse" as Peter Lemesuier insists.

I seem to be ignored on this issue and I don't know why. If this is true, it is a radical departure of all previous speculation and scholarship concerning the prophecies of Nostradamus. It would mean that when we see a name, it is going to be an actual surname. That would mean RAYPOZ is, or rather, will be a real surname. That would mean Alus is a real surname. That would mean Chiren is a real surname (it IS a real surname in fact, although no one in a position of power now has it that we know of).
What I find interesting about the Hifter quatrains is that some of the action is clearly taking place in the Middle East, especially North Africa and around the city of Tobruk. Some believe that is a reference to Hitler's general Rommel who invaded Ethiopia and Libya and was killed by Allied forces while trying to take Egypt (the same country Napoleon tried and failed to take 150 years earlier). One quatrain actually seems to attempt to paint Hifter in a good light, as though he is a hero rather than a villain. General Hifter is anti-Islamic trying to eradicate the extremist terrorist groups threatening to take over in Libya. He could one day gain the support of the West; but then again, if Ezekiel's Gog prophecy is for our time, it will be Russia he allies with.

The prophet Erna Stieglitz is one of a handful of 20th Century seers from the region of Austria and Germany who described events preceding World War III. In all cases, RUSSIA is predicted to be the aggressor who invades Europe, although some older prophets indicate other nations (allies) from the East will accompany the Russians.
Stieglitz elaborates further on Russian intentions in the Middle East. Sometimes one line of prophecy can speak volumes.
"The Russians must strengthen their flanks, before they against Western Europe attack... The southern flank is comprised by Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Greece, and Yugoslavia."
The nations making up the "northern flank" follows, but it is this "southern flank" that must now attract our attention, as it appears first.
Two of the four Middle East countries listed are also in the Gog, land of Magog "alliance": Iran and Turkey.
This suggests that both countries may actually be invaded by Russia in an effort to take control of both. Stieglitz continues:
"In summer, probably in the month of July if the OIL REGIONS are already in rather firm Russian hands, will occur the invasion by Russia upon (parts of) the south and north flanks: against Turkey, Greece, Yugoslavia, and Scandinavia ... The Russian then strives to advance as quickly as possible through the Balkan Peninsula to the Adriatic Sea ..."

There is no question that the war on ISIS is being conducted in both Syria and IRAQ. Thus, we might surmise that Russia will eventually be launching airstrikes in Iraq as well as in Syria.

And in September, nuclear war comes to Western Europe:
"In September, there is a last despairing attempt of Russian submarine-units to devastate Europe by nuclear means. In this attack, many French and German cities are changed into a fiery sea."

The greatest danger for the region, that is bounded by the cities Mindelheim and Altötting, Pfaffenhofen and Weilheim, and also Mittlebayern, is recurring destruction in the form of terrorism, looting, arson, murder, and anarchy. Huge metropolises become robbers of the farmer! Armed volumes of people roam through the country, fanatics, murderers, Psychopaths, a Mob. It is as never before, except perhaps in the Thirty Years War, existence is frightening. And all this accompanied by the poison cloud that in the end extinguishes one-third of all humanity!"
Nuclear war deteriorates into a "zombie apocalypse." And then the poison clouds that destroy 1/3 of humanity during the "three days of darkness." Other prophecies speak of a post-war plague that comes from these clouds, that causes a purple mark to appear on the hand, leading to the rotting out of eyes and tongue within days. The victim dies a horrible death, wallowing in his or her own rotten, stinking flesh, attempting to scream, but no scream can come. After much suffering comes Hell, in other words. All this while huge mobs of murderers, insane, and diseased roam the cities and the countryside throughout various parts of the planet, killing and even eating all they come into contact with.
What year will this dreadful July, August, and September take place? We do not know ... and perhaps it is best we do NOT know, because once put in action, it cannot be stopped.
Will we ever make it to the November 2016 U.S. presidential election? That depends on which candidate is holding the trump card (pun is intended). If Donald Trump is "destined" to win, we may never even make it to November. If, however, Hillary Clinton, or any other female candidate, is destined to win, the worst of the war may not come about until 2017, 2018 or even 2019. We could conceivably be nervously watching events unfold for another four years from this summer that has just passed us by (or less).
Alois Irlmaier was constantly worried about "two eights and a nine." I thought it might apply to the years 2008 and 2009, especially when Russia invaded Georgia on August 9, 2008 (8/9/08). As it turns out, it may instead apply to 2018 and 2019 ... somehow.
Is there ANY hope?
There is always hope. As long as Russian objectives are focused only in Syria and remain that way, and do not overlap into countries listed by Ezekiel or Stieglitz, the world is safe. As long as Israel stays out of the conflict, as long as Assad does not pull Israel into a war by launching an attack on its northern cities or giving Hezbollah a green light to do so, the world is safe.
But the longer the war in Syria and neighboring Iraq goes on, and the longer Russia, the U.S., France, Turkey, and other NATO nations are involved in it (the UK votes in November on the issue of launching airstrikes in Syria), the greater the risk becomes that an Ezekiel/Stieglitz scenario will play out.
Will we ever make it to the November 2016 U.S. presidential election? That depends on which candidate is holding the trump card (pun is intended). If Donald Trump is "destined" to win, we may never even make it to November. If, however, Hillary Clinton, or any other female candidate, is destined to win, the worst of the war may not come about until 2017, 2018 or even 2019. We could conceivably be nervously watching events unfold for another four years from this summer that has just passed us by (or less).
Alois Irlmaier was constantly worried about "two eights and a nine." I thought it might apply to the years 2008 and 2009, especially when Russia invaded Georgia on August 9, 2008 (8/9/08). As it turns out, it may instead apply to 2018 and 2019 ... somehow.
Is there ANY hope?
There is always hope. As long as Russian objectives are focused only in Syria and remain that way, and do not overlap into countries listed by Ezekiel or Stieglitz, the world is safe. As long as Israel stays out of the conflict, as long as Assad does not pull Israel into a war by launching an attack on its northern cities or giving Hezbollah a green light to do so, the world is safe.
