The Enigma of Jeane Dixon's "War Of Armageddon"

Before proceeding. If you were alive in the 1960's, a child, a teenager, or a young college student, what would your reaction have been to see THIS suddenly appear on your color TV (along with the loud sounds of explosions)?

Or this ...?
Picture
... night after night, with newscasters informing the viewers at home that these are air strikes being conducted between Israel and Syria?

And instead of 1970, Hal Lindsey had written his book The Late Great Planet Earth in 1967? A book that states that Armageddon will begin with a war between Israel and Syria in 1980.

Okay. My guess is after seeing occasional week-old, ratted-out film footage of events in the Vietnam War, some in black and white and some in washed out color, that the sight of this kind of warfare would have completely blown you away. You'd probably think it was ... the end of the world.

Now trade places with Jeane Dixon, working on one of several books she published in the 1960's, and you see this ... only now it is in a vision. Maybe in the vision it looks like its happening on a television screen, one of the large, wide screens we are accustomed to these days. The CNN or FOX news crews are identifying the conflict as being between Israel and Syria, with the aid of Iranian-backed military stationed in Lebanon and Syria. Of course, you are going to be confused to hear Iran mentioned since the western-backed Shah is still in power during the 60's and the Lebanese civil war won't even begin until 1978. The news commentators mention the dates: your pick of numerous months and days in 2019 and 2020.

What would you think you were seeing? Maybe Armageddon?? World War III??

We live with this stuff all the time and have been used to it since Desert Storm in 1991. Even that might have looked apocalyptic back in the 1960's. To make matters worse, in 2020 our attention is focused on surviving a pandemic, social unrest, and a shutdown on most jobs. Some of us are coming out of that ... some of us aren't yet ... and some of us never will. And there is always the chance the next COVID-19 variant that suddenly materializes winds up being immune to our vaccines, sending us all back to lockdown.

So forgive Jeane if her eyes are captured by the alien-looking warfare, the strange colored light, the loud explosions, with the years constantly being repeated, 2019, 2020, 2021 ...

In her 1971 book The Call to Glory, Jeane Dixon predicted that an apocalyptic "war of Armageddon" would occur in 2020. This war, secretly begun in 2017 between Israel, Iran, and Syria, became public in 2019 and escalated in 2020 ... and continues to escalate and draw in new adversaries.

Most Evangelical and other Christian fundamentalist interpreters of prophecy believe that there will be a "battle of Armageddon" near the conclusion of the Book of Revelation, ushering in the Second Coming of Christ and the thousand year Millennial Reign. Authors such as Hal Lindsey are in general agreement that such a war would likely begin as a conflict between Israel and Syria, and then involve other countries including Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Libya, and Russia. The linchpin, however, is warfare between Jerusalem and Damascus.

They do not speak of a "war of Armageddon" because Jesus returns before it can become an actual full-scale war. Rather it is a huge preparation for war, and some degree of conflict between Israel and Syria and other actors ... a battle or series of battles.

Nostradamus also mentions a "final war of Antichrist" which may well be Dixon's "war of Armageddon." But according to the French seer, in his Epistle to Henry, it lasts for 25 years. However in one of his quatrains the war lasts for 27 years.

If Jeane Dixon saw rockets and missiles being launched from positions in Syria and bombarding targets in northern Israel, and Israeli missiles retaliating, striking targets in Syria, I think we can forgive her for calling it the "war of Armageddon." From the perspective of one in the year 1969, such a 21st Century air battle in 2020 must have looked very apocalyptic indeed.

She obviously did not think it was the final war of Armageddon, the so-called "Battle of Armageddon," because she also predicted that five years later, in 2025, Russia and China would go to war ... a war lasting until 2037 with China emerging as the winner. And it doesn't end there because she sees "The Antichrist" then leading Europe and the United States into a war against China and all of its Eastern allies in 2037, after Russia is defeated by China.

According to Nostradamus the same war will be waged from 2025 until a time not given. He claimed that China would have powerful allies from the Middle East associated with the lunar symbol, Turkey being one of these. He also said a "Barbarian Satrap" would ally with China ... a "satrap" being the Persian (Iranian) word for leader. Russia will lose the war to China according to Jeane Dixon, but Nostradamus is more specific and says China's ally Iran (Persia) would "overwhelm" Russia and the United States by 2038. Many old Catholic prophecies about the invasion of Europe from the East claim Turkey, not Russia, will lead the attacks. They associate "the East" with the symbol of the crescent moon. Others claim Turkey and Russian troops wearing strange uniforms, "with weapons hidden in their skirts" (not Russian uniforms) would lead the charge. Of course if Russia is defeated by China, some Russians may be forced to fight on China's side ... and others may do so willingly.

Of course, I believe the situation will get more complicated than that. During the war between China and Russia (with the US also involved as a Russian ally), China will break up into fragments, Xinjiang and Manchuria being two of these. Some of these will ally with the Central Asian states of the former Soviet Union and also with Turkey, Afghanistan, and Iran (no doubt there will be more than that). So technically, by 2037, China as we know it will no longer exist. Instead there will be "the Empire of Antichrist" (a real Antichrist, not the phony Western one) spanning from Xinjiang to Turkey. Then "the transmigration of the Holy Spirit" under the leadership of a resurrected French monarch (resurrected from the dead during the "three days of darkness") will defeat this Eastern axis and bring peace to the world.

But when all is said and done, this terrible war will be another world war, not Armageddon.

By the way, the time elapsed between Arab Spring and the Syrian and Libyan Civil Wars (2011) and the time of trouble when World War III reaches a head (2038 according to Catholic prophets) is 27 years!

We are now fighting the "war of Armageddon" (World War III) and have been for the last ten years! Jeane Dixon was at least partly correct ... what she saw in 2020 was the war's escalation.
