Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire. Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan. The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea. Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts. And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad. Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east. Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you. And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it ...
The Ahadith regarding the Sufyani specify that he is a tyrant who will spread corruption and mischief on the earth before Imam Mahdi. He will be such a tyrant that he will kill the children and rip out the bellies of women. The Sufyani will murder those from the household of the Prophet and will rule over Syria ... he shall have a severe battle in the center of the Jordan valley and 60,000 men shall be killed. The Sufyani will then send an army to Iraq, killing 100,000 in Az-Zawra (aka Zura, otherwise known as Baghdad), and also will receive the support of the Roman forces. The Sufyani and his forces will go to Kufa and pillage it, killing the descendants of the Prophet. In retaliation the tribe of Qays will rise up against him, but they will be defeated, and he will slaughter them in Kurkisa. The forces of the Sufyani will come, demanding the Afghanis. Then an army carrying black banners will come ... they will engage the forces of the Sufyani at the Gate of Istakhr (in southern Iran) and will defeat them, however, the riders will escape. The Afghanis, after suffering from the battle, will demand the Mahdi out of necessity. Then an army of the Sufyani will go to Medina, and pillage it for 3 days, and those who escape will flee to Mecca ... When the Sufyani hears about the Mahdi, he will send an army to seize and kill him. However the earth will swallow this army before it even reaches Imam Mahdi ... During the days of the Sufyani, the Byzantine ruler will be at war with one Christian faction and will make peace with the other. The warring Christian faction will overrun Istanbul and will occupy it ...
Thus, this battle will determine if the leader of Iraq is Baghdadi and ISIS or Sistani and the Shi'a. There is even a remote chance that Maliki could emerge victorious with the aid of Iran, but for now this seems unlikely. But if the latter should occur regarding Maliki, then the danger now being posed will pass or at least be postponed indefinitely unless ... Maliki feels his problems were created by the civil war in Syria and, with US and Iranian military aid, seeks to correct that problem.
Everything calls peace, Schalom! Then it will occur - a new Middle East war suddenly flames up, big naval forces are facing hostility in the Mediterranean - the situation is strained. But the actual firing spark is set on fire in the Balkan: I see a "large one" falling, a bloody dagger lies beside him - then impact is on impact ...
The German prophet Alois Irlmaier warned that World War III will begin with a sudden outbreak of a huge war in the Middle East, followed by tremendous naval battles in the Mediterranean Sea and a confrontation even worse being triggered in the Balkans. As surely as the civil war in Syria has paved the way for a far more deadlier Middle East conflict (as I predicted) as Iraq fights for its very survival against ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (or Sham), the unrest and militant fighting in Ukraine is paving the way for a Balkans conflagration and a potential Russian invasion of most of Europe. World War III appears to be at our doorstep. At the Vatican, Pope Francis, Shimon Peres, and Mahmoud Abbas no sooner prayed for peace in the Holy Land when a day later ISIS fighters took control of Mosul, Iraq's second most important city, causing a half a million civilians to flee for their lives. Hundreds of people have been executed by this most evil and brutal of extremist organizations over the past few days as militants press on towards Baghdad, a recording of an ISIS spokesman blaring a warning that Iran, Israel, and Jordan will be next on their agenda.
The danger the world now faces is a battle whose outcome may well determine if one of two similar, competing prophecies will achieve fulfillment. There is even a possibility that both prophecies will be fulfilled, but one more so than the other. These are the Old Testament Judaic prophecy of Jeremiah concerning a great Middle East war waged by a latter days "Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon" and the end of time hadiths of Islamic prophecy concerning a similar war waged by a dark, sinister figure known as "the Sufyani."
Both the King of Babylon and the Sufyani appear to be equally evil in their nature and both launch devastating attacks and wage wars of conquest against most of the very same countries ... with one exception: the King of Babylon has the backing and consultation of Elam (Iran) while, instead, the Sufyani goes to war against Iran and Afghanistan.
Al Sistani and Al Sadr have Iran's support already, making one of them a credible "King of Babylon." The elderly Sistani, now age 83, could conceivably choose to remain the spiritual head of what would become a Shiite Iraq state, conferring the role of political leadership to the younger Al Sadr, 40, who has had experience in politics. This would make Muqtada al Sadr, rather than Ali al Sistani, the latter days "King of Babylon."

It would appear that in Jeremiah's prophecy there is no Arab nation in the Middle East, other than Yemen, that is not involved. The fact that the kingdoms of the world take such an extreme measure against Iraq at the end of "the Judgment of the Nations" conflict suggests to me that this war manages to expand into many other countries outside of the Middle East, including those of Europe.
Aside from having Iranian support, it is unclear why any "king of Babylon" would commit such horror unless this is actually a continuation of the war between Iraq and ISIS beyond Iraq. There is another reference to a menacing figure in Jeremiah known as "the spoiler" who may be the King of Babylon or someone else. This "spoiler" may well be ISIS leader Al Baghdadi. The conflict between Al Sadr and Al Baghdadi could conceivably bring about the destruction described in Jeremiah to the various nations although it is clearly the King of Babylon, at the behest of Elam (Iran), who will carry out the long-threatened jihadist attack on Tel Aviv and other cities of northern Israel. This act alone will condemn him and his country to total destruction at the end of World War III by the world community.
In this scenario, therefore, Al Baghdadi is not the Sufyani but is a provoking agent of destruction.
But what if Baghdadi is the Sufyani?
If so, he will overrun Baghdad and take control of Iraq, incorporating all of it into his Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
Meantime, the spokesman for ISIS has promised that Iran will be the next nation Al Baghdadi will attack after Iraq. ISIS is also so barbaric and repulsive that they have been condemned by the leader of Al Qaeda based in Afghanistan, Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri. Thus, sufficient emnity exists between ISIS and Iran and ISIS and the Afghans already to make Al Baghdadi a credible "Sufyani."
The Sufyani ultimately overthrows Assad after capturing all of Syria. Then he kills hundreds of thousands in the cities of Iraq, especially in Baghdad, afterwards taking control of all the Near East by brute force: not only Syria and Iraq, but Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon. He also wars with the Saudis, attacks Afghanistan, then puts down a retaliatory offensive by the Afghans, allied with Qatar and Jordan, in southern Iran. The war against Iran and the Afghans will be especially bloody. Afterwards he will pillage the holy city of Medina for three days, doubtlessly grasping control of northern Saudi Arabia in the process.
It is possible Nostradamus foresaw this confrontation between The Sufyani and Iran and Khorasan (Afghanistan), as well as another at Medina in Saudi Arabia in the following two quatrains:
Nostradamus, Quatrain 5.25 - Arab Prince Sun in Mars, Venus, Lyon Reign of the Church will succumb by sea: Towards Persia very nearly a million, Byzantium, Egypt, the worm serpent invades. Nostradamus, Quatrain 3.31 - On the field of Media, of Arabia and of Armenia Two great armies will assemble thrice: The host near the bank of the Araxes, In the land of the great Suleiman they will fall. | |
Events prophesied to occur just before the Sufyani's appearance suggest that Al Baghdadi may indeed be this terrifying figure:
Before the rise of the Sufyani, there will be a sedition in the Maghreb, the sedition will spread in every direction that no party or group could protect itself from it.
The sedition in the Maghreb (Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya) has already happened, at least partially, beginning in 2011. The sedition in Mauritania was the war fought between France and the AQIM in the western Sahara. The sedition in Tunisia was a revolution that overthrew its leader. The sedition in Libya was a revolution that turned into a civil war, killed its leader, and replaced him with a weak, unstable government and a new terrorist stronghold for AQIM.
The prophecy continues:
Later the sedition which started in the west will arrive to Al-Sham, Syria, thus two banners will fight for control over the Syrian region; they will fight until their armies are exhausted. Following these events the Sufyani will start an uprising in the dry valley of Transjordan and moves to seize Damascus, he will gain much support and he will advance to capture the rest of Syria, defeating the two other competing forces. Once he captures the 5 districts of Al-Sham, he will send armies to Iraq..
Al Baghdadi appears to be jumping the gun if he is the Sufyani, since he has been satisfied with grabbing only a small portion of Syria, rather than the entire country, and too soon sending his army into Iraq. If the letter of the ahadith is to be fulfilled, it implies that 1) he will be forced out of Iraq and regroup in Jordan, take Syria, then return to Iraq or 2) will carry on a long siege and conflict in Iraq while consolidating his grip on Syria. Then, only with the overthrow of Assad, will he march into Baghdad. If the latter is true, this decisive struggle in Iraq could go on for many months, even up to two years or more.
In any event, whatever side wins the battle for Baghdad and Iraq will determine if the war of Jeremiah's King of Babylon will ensue or the Islamic war begun by the evil Sufyani.
And so we have the following report dated June 23, 2014:
Iraq invaders threaten nuke attack on Israel -- ISIS focus on 'destroying Zionist regime' to 'liberate Palestine'
WND.com
F. Michael Maloof
WASHINGTON – The well-organized army of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, claims it has access to nuclear weapons and a will to use them to “liberate” Palestine from Israel as part of its “Islamic Spring,” according to a WND source in the region.
Franklin Lamb, an international lawyer based in Beirut and Damascus, said the move is part of the ISIS aim of creating a caliphate under strict Islamic law, stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to Iraq.
Lamb, who has access to ISIS fighters and sympathizers, said ISIS has been working with a “new specialized” unit organized at the beginning of 2013 to focus “exclusively on destroying the Zionist regime occupying Palestine.”
Lamb added that the ISIS “Al-Quds Unit” is working to broaden its influence in more than 60 Palestinian camps and gatherings from Gaza, across “Occupied Palestine,” or Israel, to Jordan and from Lebanon up to the north of Syria “seeking to enlist support as it prepares to liberate Palestine.”
ISIS is also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham. “Sham,” or “Greater Syria,” refers to Cyprus, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and southern Turkey.

ISIS leader al-Baghdadi certainly appears to be on the road to victory and claimant to the title of "Last King of Babylon." According to Jeremiah 51, he will pay dearly for the role, he and ISIS, in a most horrific manner!
